Hey All, it's been a while...

I haven't updated this site in a while but I am now definitely feeling the urge to get back. I got pretty sick about a month ago with this cold/flu thing that everyone has had and my diet and exercise really went south. I was not feeling at all like going to the gym and all I wanted to eat was good old comfort foods. Though it was enjoyable for a season, I'm now ready to get back to it and prepare for summer.

The clincher happened last night when I got ready to crawl into bed. I was bent over and my wife looked at my stomach and simply said, "Baby!". You know the tone. I looked down and noticed my old belly was starting to return. Not cool! We talked for a while and both agreed that if we let ourselves go again, it's going to take us that much longer to get back in shape. So, here I am...

My goals have changed somewhat and I am now just going to get down to a solid 10-11% bodyfat while adding some muscle. I don't really feel like, right now, I can focus on getting down to 7-8%. I have too much going on right now with work, other business ventures, the band, and of course, my son (who is now nine months old and 100% mobile).

I will be trying to post all my food logs and will probably get back into taking weekly (or monthly) pics. I also plan to be more relaxed on my diet, allowing for 1-2 cheat meals a week. This extra latitude should allow me to stay motivated and continue moving forward.

I want to thank everyone for their concerned emails. NO, I DID NOT DIE or something. I will be posting back here much more frequently and I hope to hear from you all in the forums.
